Our goal is to help reunite families, restore relationships, provide job opportunities & acquisition, emotional, & spiritual guidance for them to live life with a new purpose.
Treatha Rayford is the founder of
House of Purpose and RenewalMinistries;
she is also a Registered Nurse for over 3 decades. Treatha is passionate about
helping women be delivered from addiction and assisting them in finding their God-given
purpose in life.
According to the Prison Policy Initiative, Oklahoma has one of the highest incarceration rates for
women in the United States, with 155 out of every 100,000 women being incarcerated in
2020. Lack of access to steady employment and economic opportunity can manifest itself in
criminal justice involvement, reflected in the increasing numbers of women being arrested for
non-violent offenses like drug or property crimes.
Research has shown that women who have been incarcerated are at a higher risk of
experiencing homelessness, unemployment, and poverty. They may also struggle with mental
health issues, substance abuse, and trauma related to their incarceration. These were the
reasons why Treatha Rayford and her team decided to launch House of Purpose and Renewal
Inc.
